The third FORSAID social media campaign highlights the target species of the project
At the onset of 2026, FORSAID’s website was expanded to include a dedicated section on the target pests and pathogens guiding the initiative’s activities. All ten insect, fungi and nematode species are now publicly listed therein, with an overview being provided on their continent of origin, the threat they pose to European forests and the project’s efforts to address it, along with scientific illustrations visually showcasing individual specimens.
Subsequently, a social media campaign was launched to introduce the organisms at the core of FORSAID’s research and innovation endeavour to a wider audience of experts, stakeholders and the general public. Titled #FORSAIDPests, it covered the following species over the course of ten weeks on both LinkedIn and Bluesky:
