Latest INVASIVESNET newsletter features an introduction to FORSAID

The final month of 2025 saw the release of the most recent newsletter edition of the International Association for Open Knowledge on Invasive Alien Species (INVASIVESNET). A non-governmental entity, it is “open to individuals and organisations involved in research, management and exchange of knowledge on invasive species”. Recent updates from across the landscape of relevant projects, initiatives and institutions in this context are afforded centre stage within the INVASIVESNET newsletter.

As part of the December issue, FORSAID’s activities were highlighted to subscribers. In particular, an emphasis was placed on the vision for technological innovation of pest management that the project is pursuing in the domains of remote surveillance, artificial intelligence and robotics. Readers were also made familiar with the six insect, three fungi and one nematode species that are targeted by these efforts due to the threat they pose to this crucial biome in Europe and beyond.
