FORSAID presented at EUFAWREADY’s consortium meeting
As part of their ongoing efforts to synergise complementary efforts in the management of pest species in Europe, the projects FORSAID and EUFAWREADY came together during the latter’s online consortium meeting in December 2025. Held every two months, it provides an opportunity for updates to be given on the progress of implementation as well as the prospects and challenges thereof.
FORSAID’s coordinator, Professor Andrea Battisti (UNIPD), was invited to the meeting to officially introduce the project to the EUFAWREADY team. In doing so, he presented the foreseen innovations that will be pursued in the domain of forest pest detection and monitoring as well as the specific regulated harm-causing species that will be targeted in this context. The showcase paved the way for a brief discussion on extending the collaboration between the two initiatives as EUFAWREADY rolls out its own strategy for addressing potential outbreaks of the fall armyworm.
